Luckily for us, there was no line and Santa was alone when we got there. Which meant Georgia got to spend some quality time giving her list as well as mine! Santa even read her a book. It was a super experience and added to the magic of Christmas for both of us.
The thing I loved about this Santa? That beard is legit! And so is the hair! And he just has a nice, grandpa-like, soothing voice for kids.
I definitely recommend planning your visit for a weekday morning. We planned to get there right when the mall opened, but ended up 30 minutes late. It wasn't a problem at all. However, last year we went on a weekend afternoon and people had been waiting up to three hours! Come on people, it's not Disney!
Considering that it is a mall Santa, I am absolutely in love with these photos! If you follow me on Instagram, we can both admit that Georgia isn't the most photogenic child. It's hard to get her to smile for the camera. That's what I love about these - she was so enthralled by Santa and the photographer was able to capture pure the joy and happiness on her face.
For around $35 we got 20 or more shots, including print rights; four sheets of prints that we gave to grandparents; $50 online purchase credit (last year I used for prints and a mug); $25 coupon to Shutterfly; Bath and Body Works Coupon; Gymboree coupon; a couple more mall coupons. Not bad, and the photos are worth $100 to this momma!
Georgia's outfit info - she chose the dress herself when we were walking through Dillard's one day before Thanksgiving! Christmas dress is green velvet and rhinestone on major sale here. It runs pretty true to size, but you could also size down and it wouldn't hurt since it was a little roomy on top. Georgia is wearing a 3T here, she is currently 3T in dresses and 4T in pants for length - I like dresses to be a little short on her.
Shoes are Kid Express from Zappo's and run true to size. I prefer an actual buckle, but I do love that she can velcro these on herself since we're usually running late.
