July 2013 Ipsy Bag Contents Spoiler Review

Hello and Happy Monday! I've been up since, oooh, four. Just not able to sleep. I'm not tired in the least right now, but come naptime I will definitely need to crash!

I just realized my last few posts are beauty box review posts. I promise that's not what my blog is turning into - I've just been too busy for words lately! I'm gearing up for back to school and holiday sales for Haute Smocks. I'm getting ready for a gift shopping event (as a vendor) and I'm also on the board for a really fun American Cancer Society benefit Fashion Show. I also manage an online consignment store/website that has been keeping me pretty busy during my regular blogging time. I've been photographing adorable clothes and uploading like crazy. Back to school shopping has already started!

I got my July Ipsy bag in the mail Saturday and wanted to share the contents with you. Overall, I am really happy with my bag. There is always one product in every subscription box I get that makes me say, "Huh?" but for the most part I love getting them.

There was one problem with Ipsy this month - I only got four items. The information card I received said that five were included. I emailed Ipsy yesterday about getting my extra item, so we'll see how that all works out.

  • Pop Beauty Pouty Pop Crayon in Coral Crush - I've been getting a ton of coral lip colors in my boxes. I typically don't wear coral, but I've been trying it out more and more. I like this crayon, it goes on easily and has a really nice texture - not too thick and not too creamy.
  • Derma E Microdermabrasion Scrub - I haven't used this yet, but I was really excited to receive such a large sample of something I know I'll use. This sample is equivalent to sizes I've bought in stores.
  • BH Cosmetics California Collection Eyeshadows - This was my "Huh?" item for the month. Maybe because I hardly ever wear eyeshadows and when I do they are not of the super colorful or glittery variety. Hollywood is a deep matte purple, San Francisco is a very glittery copper and Malibu is glittery, shiny golden yellow. I do plan on trying out San Fran this week and maybe using Hollywood for vacation looks later this summer.
  • Coola SPF 20 Tinted Moisturizer Mineral Sunscreen - You guys, Coola is all over the box subscription circuit. This is the third sample I've gotten from as many companies that I subscribe to. That's ok, though, I really love their products and it keeps me from having to buy my own facial sunscreen. I'm excited that this one is tinted and plan on wearing it today.
The bag was nothing special, just a clear hot pink plastic one.

I buy my own Ipsy bags and review them here for fun. Ipsy is one of my monthly favorites. If you'd like to subscribe, please use my link....I'll get a bonus product when two people subscribe.
