I've been wanting to DIY my own succulent garden ever since I saw a great assortment of succulent plants in my grocery store. I don't have much of a green thumb, and I know succulents require very little care. After some research I found that they can be grown indoors, even with very little natural sunlight. They also don't require much water. Succulents store water in their leaves, so they only need to be watered when the soil is dry on the surface and a few centimeters below.
I saw this wooden crate at Home Goods ($20), I knew it would be perfect for a little succulent garden on our living room table.
I purchased six little succulents, about 2 - 4 inches each, for $6-7 at the grocery store. I planted them in Miracle-Grow potting soil since we already had a huge bag of it. It's been a week and they are still thriving, so I think they just might make it!
