Sugar Creek Baptist Playscape

Today I took Georgia to play at the Sugar Creek Baptist Playscape. First off, let me say that we did go to church at Sugar Creek last weekend. I had previously heard about the indoor playground but didn't think it would be that big of a deal. WRONG!

We're used to a massive parking lot mess and a big church congregation. But when we walked into Sugar Creek, I kept saying, "This place is bigger than a mall!" We were quickly directed (by the friendliest guy we've ever met) to the nursery area and dropped Georgia off. We saw the Playscape on our way, because really, you can't miss it, and it's h-u-g-e! Bigger than any I've ever seen before, except maybe for the one at Houston's Children's Museum, but I'm pretty sure this one is also three stories and was ok for smaller toddlers to play on (the Museum's is geared toward bigger kids).

Since Georgia has fun playing on the lower areas of the Chick-Fil-A playground, I thought we would give this one a try since it's free. As a side note, the church does have CFA, Starbucks and a cafe right by the Playscape, so if you wanted to make a day of it, you totally could.

The place was full of toddlers and preschoolers. Georgia was a little apprehensive at first, then we found the toddler sized slide and a tiny little climbing wall and she was good to go. She followed one of the bigger girls up a ramp to the second story and I had to go up and get her. Nothing like climbing through kiddie-sized holes and tunnels with skinny jeans! Lesson learned - next time wear my comfies.

We're planning on attending church services at Sugar Creek some more, and I know Little Bug and I will make the Playscape a weekly date!
