This week Ash Tres Chic is swinging us back to the sixties with some mod mommy looks!
Get inspired by Andy Warhol's pop art, Edie Segwick's hip sixties glamour, The Beatles Sgt. Pepper, and scarf on the lamp kind of parties. Color blocking, colorful prints and platforms will integrate Ash's fave trend into your wardrobe.
Short, sleeveless mod dresses in colorful prints and blockings. This Francis New York dress is so "Oh My Mod"...it's a must have this season. ($345)
*This is where I step in and remind Ash Tres Chic that this is a mommy blog and we get spit up and diaper you-know-what on our clothes some time and no way am I spending $345 for her favorite spring trend. So I found us some cute options from Bebe, both under $130. Faux wrap dress & pleated colorblock dress.
Swap your pumps to platforms this season to take your look back in time. We are dying over these city sandal platforms from Victoria's Secret. ($68)
*I wore platforms in a fashion show and didn't trip. I liked them so much I ended up keeping the pair for this summer. If you're scared of the heels, find a platform wedge; I wear them out and about with a Baby Ergo or stroller all the time.
This Akris Punto look from Saks is a fabulous tailored version of the 60s mod trend. The belled sleeves on this classic white blouse and popped collar transforms this piece into 60s chic and the yellow cropped pencil pant really supports the look as well. ($495 & $395)
*Ahem. Did I mention I have no income of my own and my husband would flip over me wearing a $900 outfit to the park to play? Try these instead for similar looks! J Crew Minnie or Cafe Capris ($59-89) & The Limited Pleated Loose Fit top ($49).

Are you going to try any of these trends? I'm vowing to buy some Minnie pants in a bright color and at least pair it with a starched white button down (maybe even pop my collar!) and my new shoes.
