Life with Georgia

We are five days into parenthood, and so far it has been heavenly!  I may be eating my words later (hopefully not!) but we are so thankful to have been blessed with such a good baby.  I always think that most new parents go on and on about how good their baby is, and I never know if I should believe them or not.  But Georgia really is!

She took to breastfeeding right away and is a content little eater.  She eats and sleeps right on schedule during the day and night.  She sleeps four hours at a time at night and eats about every two to three hours during the day.  She was a little fussy last night and this morning, but finally had a dirty diaper today and has been a happy baby again all day.

I've had some problems with recovery, so I only slept two or three hours last night.  When she woke up fussy, it was kind of nice to have some company in the middle of the night!  I had a checkup today and the doctor put me on bedrest for a week. After just resting and doing nothing for the day, I already feel better, so hopefully I'm on the mend.

I have taken tons of photos and videos, hopefully I can do a big post of her first week this weekend.  We also have her one week photo shoot this weekend with a professional.  I just know they are going to be precious!

With bedrest, of course I'm doing some online shopping!  Tea Collection, which has really cute summer tunics for me and adorable baby clothes, is having a sale through Monday.  Use MSALE20 for an extra 20% off all sale items.  I bought the absolute tiniest shorts possible for Georgia...I hope they arrive before she grows out of them!

I'm off to get some beauty rest before it's feeding time again.  Photos soon, I promise, and thanks for all of the sweet emails!
