The Bump, Week 29

Wow, I can't believe I am this pregnant, both timewise and sizewise! Twenty nine weeks seems like a really long time, but eleven weeks to go somehow seems even longer to me. I'm not tired of being pregnant yet, like I hear so many women say during the third trimester, I actually love it (other than constantly being sick). I am just ready for the baby to arrive so I can meet her! Every day I wonder what she will look like, sound like, and what her little personality will be like. So far, I'm pretty sure she's a sweet laid-back little girl. She kicks, stretches and wiggles constantly, but never any karate chops or rough movements. She's just so gentle and fun! I hope she's still such a sweet little girl a few years from now.

I've only gained about twelve pounds so far, but I am really packing on the pounds now...I think I'm averaging about two pounds a week. I'm actually craving more salads and fruit and fewer Cokes and Ruffles although I've not been as active as I'd like to lately due to work and traveling. We don't have any more trips planned, and the only thing I have to do is get the nursery ready (Lord knows her closet is already jam-packed, so no more shopping!). Hopefully I'll have more time to enjoy with David and fit in some walks and workouts.

Strangely, I'm not nervous about giving birth or becoming a mommy yet. Does this happen later? Will I be freaking out a month from now? I am super excited about my "mini vacation" from work. I'm actually counting down the work days until my due date. Only forty-six, yippee! I have a paper clip chain hanging on my desk to help me mark the days. I spent quite awhile color coordinating it...yep, I definitely have short-timer's disease on the job!

Not sure what's up with my bangs in these photos...but pants are Heidi Klum for Pea in the Pod, sweater set is J Crew, necklace is Ann Taylor.
