So Much to be Thankful For

We are so blessed that I don't even know where to begin. We both have wonderful jobs (ok, maybe not so wonderful, but we have jobs that we enjoy) at companies that treat us well. We have a lovely home; all of our parents and siblings are alive and healthy; and I couldn't imagine our marriage being any better than it is. We have enough to provide for all of our needs and wants. I wake up every morning and feel lucky to be living in my life, and I try to remember to praise God every day for all that I've been blessed with.

On September 11, 2010 things got even better when David and I found out we were expecting our first child! Baby Munn is set to arrive May 22, 2011. The baby is healthy and at our twelve week checkup, the doctor said everything looks "just perfect", which is another huge blessing.

I'm currently fourteen weeks and a few days along. The pregnancy itself has been uneventful, however I've had extreme morning sickness since week five. So much that my doctor put me on "house arrest" (stay around the couch, sleep as much as possible and don't leave the house unless necessary) for the better part of three weeks. I thought it sounded ridiculous and was looking forward to a great week or two off work. I really was too sick to leave the couch, though. I drove a few blocks to McDonald's for a Sprite and ended up throwing up in my flower bed before I could get the front door opened. Lesson learned!

Pregnancy has brought on quite a lifestyle change for me. No more personal trainer, six days a week at the gym, or half-marathon training. I have been way too exhausted! And honestly? It's been NICE having a three month break from all of that. Probably not healthy for me or Jelly Bean, and I do need to at least start walking a few times a week. But just coming home after work and falling asleep on the couch has been splendid!

Since the cat is out of the bag on the blog, as well as on Facebook, I'll be posting regular updates. Hopefully I'll keep the blog going with baby and pregnancy updates, and I have a few drafts in the working with recipes (not that I've been cooking...or eating all that much, for that matter) and beauty product reviews.

I'm glad to be back in the swing of things now that the first trimester is over and I'm not falling asleep at the drop of a hat!
